1.TBACSM Project Evaluation

TB ACSM project funded by USAID was launched in Oct. 2008 for two years (Oct.2008-Dec. 2010). Its goal was to complement the efforts of RNTCP in reducing TB mortality & morbidity in targeted states and districts of India. A High TB burden and sub-optimal program performance was key criteria for selection of target districts. The project was intended to increase awareness of TB and its related issues and accelerates advocacy through national TB programme.

2. Promising Practices....Impact of ACSM activities

RNTCP programme cannot document every best practice or challenges faced at the grassroots in TB care and control, so other people need to take leadership and come forward. These voices of community need to be well documented and 'heard' in order to disseminate the messages to the policy makers for a desired change to improve TB programme performance

3. Fostering Innovations Civil Society Meeting on New Diagnostics for Tuberculosis

Stop TB Partnership, MSF Access campaign, REACH and Global Health Advocates convened the meeting of Civil Society Partners on New Diagnostics for Tuberculosis. It was a half day deliberation on 24th January 2011. There have been high level meetings, scientific seminars, workshops etc in the country to discuss this, but with very limited participation of the Civil Society and Community groups. This meeting provided an opportunity to hear from experts in this field who helped us understand this new tool, and also to raise concerns and discuss operational challenges.
